Staff Engineer

Perform testing and QA/QC for laboratory data to develop geotechnical and engineering reports. Perform engineering calculations and develop assignments involving the application of Standard Techniques, procedures and criteria to determine the characteristics and behavior of subsurface soils, interpret this data and make recommendations on soils and concrete parameters which may be used for design or remedial purposes by the project engineer; Verify boring logs, perform engineering analysis and prepare geotechnical reports in compliance with the standards and specifications. Requires a master’s degree in Civil Engineering.

Light Equipment Operators

Job Location: Shreveport, LA

Position Summary

This light equipment operator is an entry level position that exists for the purpose of training personnel to perform field and laboratory testing tasks. The personnel will be trained under the supervision of a trainer for a period of 90 to 180 days with time divided between the laboratory and the construction site. The position requires personnel to learn the flow of the organization, what services are provided and important details of the trade, as well as to understand the company’s role in each project. Tasks include, but are not limited to, operate drilling equipment, collect samples, prepare field logs, and restore the site to nearly its previous condition, sampling by auger borings, sample collection, sample preparation, sample testing, field observations, and documentation of construction activities pertaining to soil, concrete, grout, mortar and asphalt. The position requires the incumbent to clearly identify, verbally communicate, and document test results and activities.

 

Entry-Level Engineer

We are seeking an Entry-Level Engineer (E.I.T.) to join our Shreveport, Louisiana operation who will assist senior engineers by performing routine aspects of geotechnical engineering & QA/QC inspection projects.
